Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 (2 lb) pork tenderloin

  • 1 (1 oz) envelope of dry onion soup mix

  • 1 c water

  • 3/4 c red wine

  • 3 Tbls minced garlic

  • 3 Tbls soy sauce

  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Place pork tenderloin in the slow cooker with the contents of the soup packet. Pour water, wine, and soy sauce over the top, turning the pork to coat. Carefully spread garlic over the pork, leaving as much on top of the roast during cooking as possible. Sprinkle with pepper.


Step 2

Cover and cook on low setting for 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.


Step 3

Remove pork from the slow cooker and let rest for 10 minutes. This keeps the moisture in the meat. Slice and serve with cooking liquid on the side as au jus.
