Sesame Ginger Bok Choy

  • 1 Tbls soy sauce

  • 1 Tbls water

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes

  • 1 Tbls vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed & chopped

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

  • 8 heads baby bok choy, chopped with whites & leaves separated

  • Sesame seeds for garnish


Step 1

Combine soy sauce, water, sesame oil and chili flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a large skillet and cook the garlic and ginger until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 3

Mix in the whites of the bok choy and cook 3-4 minutes. Add soy sauce mixture and leaves and cook 2 minutes more or until heated through and leaves are gently wilted.

Step 4

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.


  • Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Reheat in a skillet on the stovetop until heated through.
